Who said that was why? a near miss from 1 bolt of the plasma rifle can cause fatle 3rd degree burns, while 3 direct shots can take off a arm. a fully charged plasma pistol can fry the head off a fully armored and shielded sangheili. The needle rounds can puncher a heart or lung in 1 hit like an arrow, a focuse rifle can fry through a Spartans shield, armor, body, back armor, and into a marine behind him in a single round of beaming. But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying human weapons are junk, in fact, I use them. :)
A single shot from a Magnum = blows Jackals and Grunts' heads.
A shot from a Shotgun = tears Sangheili apart.
Indeed, and a bronze sword at point blank range beats a m-16, a bow in the hands of a master of stealth beats 300 men with ak-47s. Its not about who's gear is the fanciest, its if you use it for a tactical advantage.

Hmmm that reminds me, favor please.... I set this on a manikin made of ballistic jell.... Ok, shoot the helmet.
Look the plasma weapons overheat to quickly, and the brute weapons' ammo is never there when you need it most.
Brute weapons aren't used often because other covenant guys laugh at their weapons, except for the expensive ones, the plasma weapons over heat to quickly because the gun size power source and firing mechanisms leave little room for a cooling system. Advice, just don't fire the guns to rapidly, short burst are more likely to hit a target anyway. Turrets are the real weapon you want to use, plenty of room for a cooling device so no need for a heat release fail save. Also the brute spiker in canon is worth about the same as in the game. Its just a rail gun that fires sharp steel spikes instead of bullets, not much range, inaccurate, but up close can pole a heart in 1 hit. That's why I don't arm my crew with them, but I still use the spike ammo to set snares.
None of you know what the word reticule means.
The person was asking how covenant weapons have aiming reticules on human HUDs. If they're covenant tech and not human tech, how would it know to give the heads up display the right reticle and weapon information?
I know what the word reticule means. I was just proving to STARS that human weapons aren't inferior.
Just because I didn't answer Ur-didact2's question it doesn't mean I don't know what reticule means.
A lot of Spartan armor features came from stolen covenant technology. Its possible the hud is only half human tec, and their for responds to both.
I know, it just seems strange.
