Mission 2- Orders straight from ONI section Zero: A Swords of Sangheilios member called Ghe 'Talot has become a potential threat (By ONI standards if you know what I mean). Eliminate him and everyone inside his keep. Make sure no one survives to report on that incident. We'll cover it up.
Mission 3- Go to the ONI facility Argent Moon, eliminate all hostiles, and secure the facility (Locke later learns about the disease in Argent Moon and blows it up along with 10 Covenant Carriers and 7 CAS battlecruisers).
Locke returns to ONI Hangar 7 and takes an ONI Prowler to hunt Chief.

There was a 73% chance that the Chief would survive. You are the unofficial story. You need to hunt him down... and bring him to us, Spartan Locke."
Locke: "Got it, sir."
Locke turns to the camera.
Level Ends
A few months ago, I did a post on how I would've written Halo 4's campaign, and because I can't wait to post my rewrite of Halo 5, I have to rewrite Spartan Ops, because the rewrite of Halo 5 follows the ending of Spartan ops. I initially wanted to do 2 seasons of SO, but the first one has a plot too similar to the story of Red vs. Blue, so that was scrapped. Anyway, this is my rewrite of Halo 4: Spartan Ops.
Episode 1
Master Chief and Alpha Nine (Buck's squad) go on a mission to kill an insurrectionist leader and his crew. Most of them are armed with Promethean Weaponry given to them by a Covenant remnant ruled by Brutes. Chief learns that the Brutes also get Railguns in exchange for the Promethean weapons. Chief and the ODSTs, despite their rivalry, kill the Brutes and the Insurrectionists but the Leader and his bodyguards acquired advanced suites of armor and Promethean Binary Rifles. After a long boss fight, The Rookie finally manages to kill the Leader. Buck and his men now respect the Chief after seeing him fight for them, and the Chief heads to the Infinity.
Episode 2
Chief has a new mission: Assist the Arbiter in taking back Sangheilios from Jul 'Mdama. The shield of Sangheilios is almost entirely blown up from previous conflicts. It leaves the planet vulnerable to an attack from the Covenant Separatists. Chief helps the Arbiter in destroying a new covenant vessel called Kraken. After destroying the Kraken's legs, Chief enters a forerunner facility where he fights Promethean forces and enters a forerunner armory.
Episode 3
Chief enters the Armory, grabs a few weapons and grenades, and proceeds. He returns to the surface only to find that a second Kraken has been deployed. Chief boards an enemy Banshee and flies through a canyon with a Banshee squadron escorting him. He then proceeds to kill the Kraken's escort: 2 Phantoms and 3 Banshee squadrons. After clearing the area, the Chief can either take out the Kraken's legs or board the Kraken, destroy the power core, and escape.
Episode 4
With the Krakens destroyed, The Arbiter and the Shadow of Intent proceed to bomb Jul's bases, While Chief goes to board Jul 'Mdama's Brigantine. On the way, He encounters Phantoms, Liches, and Banshees trying to prevent him from boarding the ship and buy their leader time. Chief kills them but the Brigantine's turrets destroy his Banshee it crashes on the ground. Jul 'Mdama escapes Sangheilios and his forces fall back.
Episode 5
Lasky contacts Chief, revealing that Jul 'Mdama is attacking the UNSC Infinity with all of his forces. Chief arrives on the Infinity and defends 2 hangars from Covenant boarding parties before assisting First Lieutenant Stacker in reactivating 4 M85 AA guns. He later assists Gypsy Company in escorting high-level assets to safety. The Spartans of Gypsy Company disrespect the Chief and praise the new generation of Spartans and their advanced technology until they all die in an explosion and Master Chief has to escort the assets himself. After doing so, Lasky tells Chief that Jul Kidnapped Dr. Halsey because she possessed the Janus key, which reveals every piece of forerunner technology in the galaxy. Chief takes a Banshee and follows the retreating covenant forces.
Episode 6
The Covenant Remnant reaches a forerunner world called Kamchatka where they can activate the Janus key and also access the planet's data network. Chief boards the Carrier only to find the 'Mdama and Halsey went to the planet's surface. Chief goes to the prison section of his ship and frees a Covenant Remnant leader called Sali 'Nyon and in exchange for the rescue, he helps Chief free other prisoners and sows chaos on the ship. Chief boards an enemy Lich and flies to Jul 'Mdama's location.
Episode 7
Meanwhile, Jul activates the Janus key. Halsey notices that there's a facility on the planet Meridian, where the forerunners used to revive completely dead Ancillas. Chief crashes his Lich on a Kraken, destroying it, but he escapes on time. He encounters dozens of Elites, Grunts, and Jackals protecting 'Mdama and eliminates them. He then activates a light bridge leading to 'Mdama's location. Chief discovers 'Mdama and his bodyguards and a boss battle begins. After a hard fight, Chief manages to kill 'Mdama and the guards but in his last moments, Jul throws a plasma grenade at the janus key, destroying it.
Halsey tells him that there's a place where he can perhaps revive Cortana. She reveals it's on the planet Meridian and it's heavily guarded. Chief replies that he can deal with it. Infinity contacts Master Chief, ordering him and Halsey to return to the ship. Chief disobeys the order and says that 'Mdama is dead and they can get Halsey back, but his real mission is just getting started.

It is 2552, Earth has fallen! The UNSC is on the brink of destruction as the Forward Unto Dawn has been forced to flee from a pursuing Coveant fleet. While making a jump to slipspace the ship was suddenly shot in its rear engine. The warship flies erratically and instead of entering slipspace it accelerates at hyperspeed.
Soon after, the ship lands outside of Reach. However, to the crew's surprise the surface is not glassed or damage. After visiting the planet, John 117, Miranda, and Johnson realize that they are in a new universe. They are somehow traveled back to 2524 but in a universe where Captain Keyes has died abruptly from a lung cancer, John 117 has apparently not been born, and the other members of the crew also have no record of existing.
But everything else is the same as it was in their universe at that time well except one big thing. The Covenant is made up of completely different races that are traveling from a galaxy far far away and the universe wasn't created by the Forerunners but was instead made by beings that hailed from a more civilized time, the Celestials.
The Covenant races have several divisions that separate different members.
THE MAIN ARMY
The main army is made of three races.
The Weequay:
This is the most numerous race in this New Covenant. They are incredibly religious and operate off the use of several clans within their local society. They are known for using a variety of ranged and close combat weapons. These troopers have thicker skin than Humans making them slightly stronger and more durable.
Weequay minors have dark brown armor, majors have purple armor, ultras have silver armor, and battlemasters have gold armor. Their standard weapons are a mix of blaster rifles, pistols, rocket launchers, and heavy rifles. Their thermal detonator grenades have a higher damage radius and output than UNSC frags.
Ssi-ruu Snipers:
Ssi-ruu are a raptor-like predatory race that acts as snipers in the Covenant military. They often use long range plasma sniper rifles or semi-automatic blaster rifles. In addition to this, Ssi-ruu scouts and ambushers use ballistic sub-machine guns and scatterguns (shotguns). They have sharp teeth, quick reflexes, can run at astounding speeds, and are agile.
Despite their similarity to the Kig-Yar of the past universe, these creatures do not use energy shields at all and they sacrifice some of the agility and gracefulness that the Kig-Yar possessed for greater physical strength, durability, faster sprinting speed, and sharper teeth. A Ssi-ruu bite and leap makes them deadly in close combat.
Wookiee Warriors:
Also called enforcers, the Wookiee warriors are the heavy muscle in the mainline Coveant military. They are known for their physical strength but are not as strong or tall as the brutes or elites of the past universe (they are merely 6-6.5 feet tall and around 300 pounds that's the same as a sangheili warrior but with less height meaning they are wider).
Still these wookiees are not the same as those in the Star Wars universe either. They have battle armor that covers their entire bodies, except their faces. Wookiees are known for using a mix of melee and ranged weapons but they also are skilled tacticians.
Wookiee minors sport dark red armor while wookiee majors have sage green armor. Wookie ultras have silver armor and wookiee champions have gold armor.
Falleen Officers:
The Falleen Officers are the captains, lieutenants, and commanders of basic Coveant units. The Falleen are important due to the technology they offered the Covenant when they first joined and because they willingly entered the empire. They are known for using double blaster pistols in combat. They do not have personal shields and rarely fight unless their bases or ships are boarded.
ARIEAL SUPPORT
Geonosian Bombarders:
Geonosians are known for their ability to assist other Covenant forces in battle. They are also great engineers and innovators.
AQUATIC SUPPORT
Gungan Guerrillas:
The Gungans are an amphibious race that can move and travel quickly underwater. On land they remain faster, more agile, and with sharper reflexes than Humans. Despite their name, this race does not use guns. Instead they use advanced energy arrows, spears, energy shield guantlets, and electric grenades. They also ride animals but will also use light tanks in combat.
Gungan warriors are used to sabotage UNSC positions or ship supplies to other Covenant forces by using aquatic sea and ocean routes. Sometimes they even deploy vehicles within lakes and rivers. They perform quick attacks on Human outposts, trade centers, ports, and other areas.
HEAVY SUPPORT
Rancor:
Unlike the native rancor, Covenant rancor have heavy battle armor and rocket launchers or heavy plasma turrets mounted on their backs. Note they tend to call plasma weapons blasters. Rancor are a staggering 12 feet tall, have long arms, sharp claws, and weigh over 3,500 pounds.
SPECIAL FORCES
Umbaran Tacticians:
The Umbaran race includes the largest group of engineers that serve the Covenant. In addition to that, Umbaran tacticians are known for conducting covert, recon, and sabotage attacks on UNSC forces. This includes hacking and jamming technology. They are one of the most advanced races in the Covenant. They use several specialized gadgets and vehicles in battle.
Umbaran officers (majors and commanders) carry personal shields. They are excellent at conducting ambushes and setting traps within the battlefield. Umbaran minors have light and dark grey armor. Majors have dark blue and beige armor. Commanders have purple and light brown armor.
Iridorian Marauders:
Iridorians are Zabraks from the planet Iridoria. Their race is born with two hearts making them stronger and faster than Humans. They also have thick skin and spike heads. On top of this they sport their own armor. These warriors tend to conduct raids and destroy important enemy positions.
Iridorian minors have light yellow and black armor. Minors conduct sabotage, act as snipers, and ambush foes. Lieutenants have cyan blue and black armor and light personal shields. Iridorian lieutenants lead minors in combat. Ultras silver and black armor as well as personal shields, they take down more important positions or reinforce other Iridorians that need help.
Zealots gold and black armor with personal shields. They take on the hardest missions. They use a mix of virboblades, rapid fire pistols, disruptor rifles, and shotgun pistols. Iridorians are known for their immense bloodblust in battle.
A special division of Iridorians called Iridorian assassins have slick black armor and active camo that allows them to turn visible in combat. They also have weak energy shields.
Noghri Assassins:
Noghri assassins are hitmen within the Noghri military. They can be snipers but also can engage in close combat. They love to use vibroblades, double vibroblades, precision blaster pistols, disruptor pistols, toxic grenades, thermal detonators, grenade launchers, and rapid fire ballistic sub-machine guns. They are durable, strong, and highly skilled but also short in stature.
Noghri minors typically wear brown battle armor. Noghri majors sport maroon armor. Noghri conductors have gold armor and lead large stealth operations. Noghri wear heavy armor in battle and view the use of personal shields and active camo as dishonorable.
Trandoshan Raiders:
Trandoshan raiders compete with the Iridorian Mauraders but are used more extensively. They utilize automatic ballistic sub-machine guns, ballistic shotguns, blaster sniper rifles, and muscular Trandoshan vanguards use ballistic chainguns. Trandoshan weapons have blades attached to them.
They are capable of regenerating limbs that they lose in battle. They have hooks attached to their guns that can be used to scale walls. They are experts at ambushing enemy forces and they often set mines in battle. They use improvised explosive devices to make additional mines from common objects or materials and know how to do this on the go.
Unlike Iridorians, no Trandoshan ranks use personal shields or active camo. Trandoshan lieutenants have light blue armor and use explosive concussion rifles in battle. These concussion rifles fire powerful explosive blue shots that are capable of cracking thick armor and dropping shields. They can also pulverize packs of enemies.
PRIDE OF THE COVENANT
These are the very best of the Covenant military who are only called in for the most dangerous and important operations. They are the last line of attack or defense.
Yinchorri Vanguards:
Yinchorri are heavy forces that fight with heavy armor. They fight in packs as elite shock troopers and prefer to not work with other groups. They average around 8 feet tall and use a mix of heavy weapons and spears in combat. Some Yinchorri have mechanical wings that allow them to fly throughout the battlefield.
Yinchorri captains have personal shields that do not recharge after they are destroyed. Yinchorri Warlords have personal shields which separates them from minors and majors.
Taung Warriors:
The Taung are the greatest warriors in the Covenant. They originally formed it along with the Nomedian founds. At the time the Taung had inferior technology but the war was called a draw. The Taung average around 6 feet and 5 inches tall making them smaller than most elites and brutes the UNSC faced in battle.
Still these creatures use advanced battle armor and energy shields. They fight with virboswords, virbospears, shotguns, pistols, and heavy blaster rifles. The Taung naturally despise Humans as they were their old and ancient enemy in their past galaxy however, the Taung managed to wipe them out. After seeing the Humans again in this galaxy, they are determined to destroy them once and for all.
The Taung sport heavy advanced armor that covers their bodies and are known for using lethal ballistic war droids.
THE NEIMOIDIAN PROPHETS
While the other races were lost the Neimoidians brought them together through the holy truth that was revealed by the great technology they bestowed upon the other races. Their knowledge of the Celestials made them the clear leaders of the Covenant. Despite this, they are naturally cowardly in nature and expect others to do everything for them.
But even beyond the military race there are two other races that play a part in this Covenant.
Twilek Slaves:
The Twilek race are mainly used for slave labor. This is not because they are an incapable race. While they are weaker than some other races, the Twileks have tailheads that they can use to sense enemies from a distance and to communicate with each other without speaking. This allowed a Great Twilek Rebellion to take place.
The Twilek guerrillas were particularly effective at ambushes because they could sense the position of their enemies with their tailheads and knew just where to shoot. After the failure of this Twilek rebellion, the race entire race was forced into slavery. The women often are taken as dancers and entertainers. Many have been forced into submission and weakness but some could be potential allies if counter strikes against Covenant colonies.
Zygerrian Slavers:
Zygerrian slavers are keep Twilek and other less known slave races in captivity. They are a vicious cat-like species. They are known for using a deviation of energy whips that they like to call "lightsaber whips" to beat their enemies into submission. These whips have a kill setting where they can burn hot enough to kill. They also use blaster sniper rifles, blaster rifles, pistols, and often have fortified turrets to defend important positions.
Defense Droids:
Unlike the old Covenant, this Covenant uses defense droids to protect important positions within planets under their control. Zygerrians make extensive use of these droids.
FRINGE RACES
Less involved and known are the Covenant fringe races. Most are used for trade but are not members of the Covenant military or leaders in their government. Members of these races include Jawas, Mon Calamari (serve as engineers and inventors), and the Quarren.
Conclusion:
Not everyone gets a second chance but with the experience and determination of the Forward Unto Dawn as well as the development of the Spartan program the UNSC can get a good headstart at planning to counter this new deadly foe. Unfortunately, no one at this moment believes them that they traveled from another universe.

In the ending of Halo 3: ODST, the player's character, "The Rookie", finally reunites with the rest of the ODST team and learns the fate of his missing comrade, Buck. The Rookie discovers that Buck was captured by the Covenant and taken to their ship, the Forerunner Dreadnought, which is orbiting the city of New Mombasa.
The Rookie and the rest of the ODST team decide to mount a rescue mission to save Buck and gather intelligence about the Dreadnought. They make their way through the city, fighting against the Covenant forces and encountering a new enemy, the Engineer, which is a Forerunner AI that controls the city's infrastructure.
After reaching the Dreadnought, the ODST team discovers that the Covenant are planning to use the ship to activate a nearby Halo ring and destroy all life in the galaxy. They manage to rescue Buck and escape the Dreadnought, but not before planting a bomb on board to destroy the ship and prevent the activation of the Halo ring.
As the team makes their way back to their dropship, they are confronted by the leader of the Covenant, the Prophet of Truth, who reveals that the Master Chief, the main protagonist of the Halo series, is still alive and on Earth. The Prophet is killed by the Arbiter, a former Covenant leader who has turned against his own kind and is now allied with the humans.
The ODST team escapes the city just as the Dreadnought explodes, and they are picked up by a UNSC warship. The game ends with the ODST team and the Arbiter looking out at the city of New Mombasa, which is in ruins, and the screen fades to black.
