If 343 were to make a halo 3 ODST style game, following a group of marines instead of your usual ODST or Spartans, would you guys play it?
And more importantly, what would you like to see from a multiplayer in this type of game?
I think having several game modes would be key, having a classic TDM, maybe a zombies mode, and even a FFA. Twist is the FFA plays out like a battle royal instead of a normal FFA. The lore premise behind this "FFA" could be a fun training simulation for the average soldier, just something to hone one's skills rather than do any actual team based tactics. What do you guys think?

SALSC ( Spartan Atmospheric, Land, and Space Combat ) Training
------------------------------------------------------------------
Candidates can be taken from either an Infantry division or from the civilian world. They must be able to :
Meet the minimum requirements :
- 75 pushups in two minutes
- 20 pullups in two minutes
- 5 mile run in 30 minutes
Candidates will be screened for medical and physical issues. Anyone with a hint of support towards organizations similar to the United Rebel Front will not be permitted.
Phase 1 : Candidates will be tested and placed in situations to determine whether they can represent the spartan values ( Duty, honor, sacrifice ). They will also be tested on their mental ability and persistence. Only candidates who show maximum participation ( they did not avoid tasks due to unreasonable excuses ) are permitted to pass forward. ( 2 months )
Phase 2 : Candidates will learn Land warfare, atmospheric combat, orbital drops, and will recieve weapons training at the Avery J. Johnson academy of military science. They will also learn to utilize mjolnir through spi armor made to emulate mjolnir. Candidates must show efficiently show tactical proficiency combined with effective usage of “mjolnir” to pass to next phase. ( 8 months )
Phase 3 : Candidates will receive augmentations, given orders to report to a spartan fireteam, and issued a suit of MJOLNIR as per their role in future operations. Candidates are now considered Spartans and will spend the phase getting acclimated to their teams and armor. Guaranteed pass. ( 3 weeks )
Long time no see everyone.
(someone at work accessed an Anime streaming service from another continent, likely a piracy website, which caused an IT nightmare as the site was notorious for Malware. So... yeah... cannot browse the internet at work anymore because someone decided to break IT rules)
Anyway, I have been playing Halo Infinite; both during one of the Insider events and during the current "beta". And I have a few predictions for what we might be getting as Armor Cores. Currently we have 5 Armor Cores confirmed to exist within Halo Infinite.
Mark VII Gen3
Mark V[b] Gen1
Yoroi
Spartan Laurette Agruya's Armor from the Academy tutorial
Mark VI Gen3 (Blue Team's new MJOLNIR Armor)
I am HOPING that we would be able to unlock Master Chief's Armor Core for use in multiplayer. Especially given the fact that on the book cover of Halo : Shadows of Reach we see Frederic, Kelly, and Linda with John. They are all dressed in the new MJOLNIR Gen3 model of Mk.6, BUT they each have a unique helmet that is actually named on the Wikis.
Since there are rumors of us being able to find Armor pieces in the Campaign by searching the wide world, it would be a nice reward to obtain Mark VI Gen3 Armor pieces during our campaign, with the actual Armor Core locked behind the requirement of beating the Campaign on Legendary.
Anyway, here are my predictions of what is likely to be added as the game goes on in the form of Armor Cores. This list will start off with what is practically a guarantee and then descend further into what is highly unlikely to happen but would still be pretty freaking cool.
Mark IV Gen1 (Halo Wars & Halo Wars 2. Utilized Mark IV stylized armor such as Jorge's Grenadier Helmet as alternates + new stuff.)
Mark V Gen1 (Halo CE Anniversary's Mark V design, with plenty of alternates from Reach and new stuff as modification options. Basically an alt-version of the Mark V[b] Armor Core.)
Mark VI Gen1 (Halo 2 & Halo 3 Armor Core. We could see old and new cosmetic options from Halo 3 and Halo 4 armor pieces that have a "Gen1 Origin" pop up in this armor core. The different hand armor from Halo 2 and Halo 3 would easily be applied here.)
Mark VI Gen2 (Halo 4 & Halo 5 Guardian's design of Master Chief's Mark VI MOD armor. With alternate pieces to reference Blue Team's armors from Halo 5 and some iconic Halo 4 and Halo 5 armor assets, such as the FOTUS, Recruit, War Master, or Scanner helmets.)
Mark VII Gen2 (Halo 5 Guardians' "Decimator" Armor Set is said to be a Gen2 Prototype of Mark VII Gen3. So we could easilly have it be given some armor pieces from both the best of MJOLNIR Gen2's lineup and the Gen3 lineup we have seen in the Mark VII Armor Core.)
ODST (A MJOLNIR Gen3 platform that is entirely themed around ODST assets from Halo 2, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 ODST, Halo 4, Halo Nightfall, Halo 5 Guardians, Halo Fireteam Raven, and new assets of ODST armor featured in Halo Infinite. Would be likely released alongside the addition of Firefight to Halo Infinite's multiplayer.)
Hunter (Spartan Locke's ONI MJOLNIR armor, with alternate pieces from Halo Nightfall, Halo 4, and Halo 5 to reference Fireteam Majestic and Fireteam Osiris. Unlikely, given Locke's lesser appreciation to most fans. But he was a well written character in Halo Nightfall... shame what Brian Reed did to him in H5G.)
SPI (Halo Novels featured Spartan-IIIs using this armor instead of MJOLNIR the most of the time. We saw it beautifully in Halo Headhunters with a couple variants. And in Halo MCC we have the "Mirage" armor in Halo 3. We could easily see SPI as an Armor Core.)
Orion (The design of Spartans back when they were units in an RTS game that was going to be a Macintosh exclusive. We have seen the Orion armor debut in Halo 2 Anniversary on the MCC. It would be pretty neat to see a design similar to the one used in Halo Installation 01 though.)
Belos (Like with the Yoroi armor, we could see Greek Spartan armor from an alternate universe pour into Halo Infinite through an event sometime down the future. We may see Halo 3's armor in Halo Infinite.)
Blackguard (Ditto but with Halo 3's Medieval Knight armor assets.)
Drengr (Ditto but with the Halo 3's Norse Viking armor assets)
Helioskrill (Given how well received this Halo 5 Armor was to fans, and the fact it is modeled after the Arbiter's armor; it is highly likely to be an Armor Set where we can have Spartans cosplay Elites with it's permutation variants.)
Mark VIII (Given that Halo Infinite is planned to be a decade long game, we would likely see a MJOLNIR Mk.8 model sometime in the future.)
Mark IX (Ditto but a MJOLNIR Mk.9 Armor Core)
Mark X (Ditto but a MJOLNIR Mk.10 Armor Core)
Hellcat (Halo 5 Guardians' "Hellcat" Armor Set is based on the ancient Humans. We could see such an armor become an Armor Core in Halo Infinite, but have it actually BE the Ancient Human's armor repurposed for use on Spartans.)
Prefect (Halo 4's "Prefect" Armor is designed from Forerunner tech and it was actually a scrapped enemy type that was to be a Forerunner Warrior. Would be pretty topical to have a Forerunner Themed armor while wandering a Halo Ring.)
Ricochet (Way too many people like Gridiron Football. So why not bring back this Halo 4 Armor and give Spartans a Football armor again?)
Hellwalker (A crossover between Halo and Doom that lets Spartans wear a recreation of the Doomslayer's Praetor Suit with variants from Doom 2016's multiplayer and Doom Eternal's cosmetics.)
Gearcog (Emile and Kat crossed over into Gears of War before. Why not have Gears of War C.O.G. armor become something we can wear in Halo Infinite with variants based on our favorite characters?)
Radiation King (A crossover between Halo and Fallout, allowing Spartans to wear armor inspired by the many sets of Fallout's Power Armor kits we can find in the Fallout Franchise.)
Mark I (Dr. Halsey was bored and she decided to sketch-up her older MJOLNIR designs with a few alterations and upgrades. As a result, the original MJOLNIR design is available for use on Spartan-IVs.)
Mark II (Ditto but with the MJOLNIR Mk.2 Armor Redesign.)
Mark III (Ditto but with the MJOLNIR Mk.3 Armor Redesign.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
And there you have it guys. My predictions for what we might be seeing in Halo Infinite as Armor Core options, ranging from likely to unlikely.
Any thoughts?
Hi, I’m new here. I’m Wolfy,I LOVE HALO.Favorite spartans are:
1.Master Chief aka John 117(The one and only)
2.Spartan B312(The Grim Reaper and the only other Hyper-Lethal class spartan other than chief)
3.Emile A239(The Merciless Wrath of Noble)
Hope you guys(and girls)accept me here
If you had the power and control to make your own Spartan/Elite and tell your own story like they have for Master Chief with the series, what would your story be? Me personally I think my Spartan’s story would be somewhere between the end of Halo 3 and the beginning of Halo 4 specializing in space exploration for ONI specifically deployed to look for the whereabouts of John 117 only to stumble upon a new set of Halo Installations in deep uncharted space. What about you guys? I know some people (like myself) have given this some thought. I first started thinking about it when Halo Reach came around because the customization was (and still is) out of this damn world....literally. Tell me about your Spartan/Elite and what you would want their story to be in the comments!
The only Spartan-IV’s we see in Halo 4 are male wearing the Recruit variant. I was just watching a video which had the final cutscene in Halo 4 and only just noticed this one background female Spartan-IV in the Scout variant.
What’re your thoughts? Did you notice this detail when you first watched the cutscene? Do you think 343 intended to make female AI Spartan-IV’s in Halo 4?
