Hello everyone, this will be a short update about the final mission of Halo 4, which I thought was really good! Now, it wasn't as good or impactful as the endings to the originals, but it was a ton of fun.

The introduction to Midnight was awesome, where you start with a Phaeton and that new theme music is playing, it all felt like such an epic moment. All of the moving walls were super fun to navigate around as well.

Then we went indoors, and all of the indoor sections were incredible. They didn't really feel repetitive, and the environments were amazing, and fighting off waves of Crawlers and Soldiers was one of the coolest parts of the mission.

Eventually, I made it to the ending, where Cortana has to basically sacrifice herself to destroy the Didact, and we travel from platform to platform, annihilating the Prometheans by any means possible. Then was the final cutscene, where Cortana and Master Chief finally defeat the Didact, and Master Chief has to detonate the bomb, but Cortana saves him, for the last time. And of course, Cortana comes into human form, and they meet one final time.

Of course, the moment was emotional, but it didn't impact me like the endings of the originals. I feel like 343 somewhat lost the charm of the originals. I still absolutely loved playing the game. The gameplay was great, I tried the multiplayer which was a ton of fun, and I actually really like the BR in multiplayer. It just straight up didn't feel like an original Halo game, which is totally fine. So, I'll leave it at that. Thank you for following me on my somewhat shorter journey through Halo 4, I know it was only three updates. On to Halo 5!

It has been QUITE some time that I spent away from the fandom, a month and a half to be exact, and I've REALLY missed all of you. But leading up to the holiday season, my life got incredibly busy, and I just didn't have the time to play Halo 4, meaning I didn't have the time to get to Halo: Infinite, meaning I was and am still trying to avoid Infinite spoilers. So that's why I left. I still will not be a fully active member of the community until I have finished Infinite's campaign, but for now I thought I would give an update on my journey through Halo 4, and I'm almost finished with the game!

In my most recent update, I had finished Requiem, the second mission. Now, I've finished, and will briefly talk about Forerunner, Infinity, Reclaimer, Shutdown, and Composer.

I played Forerunner a little while ago, but it was an awesome introduction to the Prometheans. The Forerunner with their Sentinels had always been a threat, but the Prometheans were a whole new threat on a completely different level. This was the first enemy introduction since the Flood in Combat Evolved, so it was really weird after all this time. I really enjoyed the mission though.

Infinity was probably my favorite mission from these five, mainly because of the environment. Jungle environments are probably the coolest of all, followed by snowy environments. But there's something about the liveliness of everything that makes jungles feel so much more diverse and unpredictable. Fighting the Prometheans here, with the help of Promethean Vision, was definitely some of the most fun in the game so far.

Next is Reclaimer, which was okay, but I was not a huge fan of it. It felt overly long and repetitive, and the environment wasn't incredibly interesting. The cutscene and story of the mission was interesting, but overall, it was less enjoyable than the others. I did enjoy getting to use Ghosts though.

Then there's Shutdown, which was fun for multiple reasons, such as being able to actually fly the Pelican for the first time. I also really liked the wide of array of weapons we could use in this mission

Lastly, there was Composer, which had an awesome second half to it, where we got to use the Mantis once again, which is such an awesome vehicle, simply because of how many abilities it has: normal fire, rocket fire, rocket barrage, stomp. There's just so much you can do with it. It sure takes a long time to regenerate health though.

And anyways, that's it. I am certainly enjoying Halo 4, just not to the degree that I was with the previous games. The levels are fun, but none stand out as too memorable.

Also, the Didact as a villain is something I am still unsure if I like or not. When they talked about him in the Halo 3 terminals, it made him seem like such a mysterious ancient creature, but now we know all about him, and I don't know if I like that. Despite this, his introduction was really as good as it could have been, so I have to give credit there,
