The 4th Battalion 12th Marines (map designate: MAR 12 || 4/12) was an infantry formation of the UNSC Marine Corps during the Human-Covenant war.[1] This battalion was garrisoned in the central Viery territory of the human colony of Reach. It was a subordinate battalion under the 12th Marine Regiment during the invasion to counter Covenant Army landing forces.
