Breakout is a round-based multiplayer gametype in Halo 5: Guardians. Players are split into two teams of four and fight on special maps in rounds and with only one life each. The mode places a heavy emphasis on teamwork, as maps are small and only lightly dotted with grenades and weaponry.
Rules[]
Players start out with a shotgun primary, a Magnum Extended Mag secondary, and one frag grenade. Players have 100% shields. Each round begins with players launching onto the map from a stage via man cannon. There are no respawns during a round. A team wins a round by eliminating all four players of the opposing team, or by delivering the neutral flag to their own base. The first team to win five rounds wins the match.
Maps[]
All Breakout maps are Forged arenas stylized as an orbital UNSC training facility.
