Destiny is a upcoming open-world first-person sci-fi shooter game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. It is Bungie's first post-Halo project, after gaining its independence from Microsoft in 2007.[1] It is also the first installment in the Destiny franchise.[1] Destiny was first unofficially announced during a staged concept art leak to IGN,[1] and later officially announced through a Destiny ViDoc on multiple sources, including the official website and Youtube account.[2] Destiny will be available on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.[3][4][5] Activision announced that they had no plans to release Destiny in 2013, and thus it's release date remains to be announced.[4][6]
Trivia
- An early hint of the game was seen in an Easter Egg in Halo 3: ODST.
