Gablap is an Unggoy Senior Science Commissioner who survived the Human-Covenant war whilst on Balaho.
After Cortana went to Balaho and conscripted many of the Unggoy for the Created, he and several other top scientists started working on a new, better version of the Goblin. The result, the Beam Goblin, armed with a Scarab beam to, as Gablap himself said: stomp around with and kill humans at.[1]
