Notes and Trivia[]

  • Season Two was filmed under the code name Silver 2 in late 2022.
  • Going into the second season, the prop department decided to completely remake the weapons used in the show.
    • Master Chief's assault rifle was modeled after his weapon in Halo Infinite. The rifle was built to be as functional as possible. They built a real countdown timer for the amount of rounds Master Chief had left in the chamber. The gun now has a selection switch so he can change from single shot, semi-auto, and full automatic fire. There is a practice torch on the front that provides the muzzle flash for the front of the weapon.
    • The Season Two sniper rifle is made out of aluminum with much more details than the previous season. The magazine can be removed, a practical sight, and the weapon can be cocked.
    • A new Needler was also redesigned to lean more towards those in Halo Infinite. They added more detail to make it a better prop.
  • Most scenes from the season were shot on location or sets.
    • A power station just out of town was described by production designer James Foster as a "raw, shell of a place". The crew, including production designers, set decorators, and more, created the cityscape of Reach within the power station. They made arcades complete with different gaming platforms, bars, ramen, and the pay-per-view booth. It helped find the realism within the communities they were living in.
