Heavy Price Paid is a piece of music featured in Halo 2 and is track sixteen on Volume 1 of the Halo 2 Soundtrack.
The piece is a slow, mournful one that would appear to be symbolic of the death caused by the war, and the 'heavy price' that must be paid for it.
It is heard on the Halo 2 main menu, and at the start of the Halo 2 level Uprising, as the Arbiter discovers the bodies of his fellow Elites, who were executed by the Brutes.
The song plays for 2:32, a possible reference to 7 (2+3+2=7).
