This article is about the ship seen in Halo: CEA, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. For the other known type of CCS-class battlecruiser, see Elefen-pattern battlecruiser.
“
Produced in great numbers by dozens of shipyards, the Ket-pattern CCS-class battlecruiser is a workhorse design that serves a wide variety of functions for the Covenant navy. Its sleek and deadly hull is instantly recognizable to even the greenest UNSC cadet.
”
Halo: Warfleet description[1]

The Ket-pattern battlecruiser was a pattern of CCS-class battlecruiser, used by the Covenant during the Human-Covenant war.[2][Note 1]

Class HistoryEdit

Human-Covenant warEdit

The Ket-pattern battlecruiser was utilized throughout the Human-Covenant war. At least one was present for the Battle of Fumirole.[3]

The Fall of Reach would see dozens of Ket-pattern battlecruisers be used. At least two would be used in the Raid on New Alexandria.[4] Nine would participate in the Battle of Aszod, with one being destroyed by SPARTAN-B312.[5] Three would glass the Military Wilderness Training Preserve in the Highland Mountains.[6]

At least one Ket-pattern, the Truth and Reconciliation would participate in the Battle of Installation 04.[7]

At the Battle of Earth, specifically at the Battle of Mombasa several more helped glass the city.[8] The Prophet of Truth's remaining Ket-pattern battlecruisers would help to uncover The Artifact at the end of the battle.[9] Most, if not all of them, would travel through to Installation 00 and make a final stand there.[10]

Post-warEdit

Following the Human-Covenant war, Ket-pattern battlecruisers would fall into the hands of several splinter factions. Specifically, multiple would end up with Merg Vol's Covenant and later participate in the Battle of Draetheus V.[11]

NotesEdit

  1. Stephen Loftus (known as ScaleMaster117 on Halopedia) worked with 343 Industries on the creation of Halo: Warfleet, and has confirmed that the Ket-pattern battlecruiser is the four-pronged CCS-class battlecruiser introduced in Halo 3, while the Elefen-pattern is the two-pronged Halo: CE and Halo 2 version.
