The M58 Archer Missile Delivery System was a type of Archer Missile pod.[1]
Operational History[]
The M58 was used on a variety of UNSC Starships. This included the Charon-class light frigate,[1] the Stalwart-class light frigate which had 16 pods,[2] the Halberd-class destroyer which had 26 pods,[3] the Autumn-class heavy cruiser which had 32 pods,[4] the Epoch-class heavy carrier which had 70 pods,[5] and the incredibly tiny Gladius-class corvette had 2 pods.[6]
The legendary UNSC Pillar of Autumn as well had 32 M58 missile pods.[7]
Design[]
M58 Archer Pods can go "cold". In this state, they must be "re-keyed", likely some sort of reboot.[8]
