Bio I'm a Resident Evil collector specialising in Japanese books containing hard-to-find interviews and extra story notes not in the games. I'm also a fan of classic '80s horror franchises such as Friday the 13th and Halloween.
Forerunner, the administration has decided that your user rights be revoked. You have implemented significant changes without consulting the admins. Our attempts to reach out to you regarding these changes have been ignored. Thus, on behalf of the administration and using the rights granted to me, I have demoted you.
It's very sad it's come to this, you've been a member since 2006 but all efforts to contact you with regards to working together have failed. You've made major changes without consultation and you're completely ignoring your colleagues. 21:40, April 22, 2019 (UTC)
The administration have been trying to reach you for some time with regards to the changes that are being made with our transition to Halo Alpha. We all want to help out the best we can and ensure that it goes according to plan. A few administrators have noticed that you haven’t seemed to follow the drawn up plan for the transition to Halo Alpha and the lack of communication from you is causing concern.
I’m sure that it’s all a misunderstanding but I’m unable to conclude that due to the fact that I’ve been unable to reach you.
For now, please cease all changes with the transition to Halo Alpha until you’ve spoken with us so we are all on the same page. I’ve sent you prods to join the discord channel and there you can talk to us all about it in our designated channel. If not there, please be in touch so we can understand your position and make sure we are moving forward together.
Working in opposite directions without communication goes against the spirit of any community and hinders the efforts to finish the transition, and is in my opinion disrespectful to any members who elected to stay on Halo Alpha, disrespectful to the users of Halo Nation who you were previously chosen to represent and work in the best interests of, and disrespectful to the future community that has yet to be realized on Halo Alpha. 21:45, April 20, 2019 (UTC)
I concur with what Grif and TRE have said - we can't go making widescale changes without first consulting one another and the community, especially when such changes go against the plan that was voted on when Halo Nation decided to leave Wikia. We need to make sure we're all on the same page before any such changes are made.
Hey Forerunner! I'm Jamie from FANDOM's Community Development team! Not sure if we never asked you guys if you are interested in turning on the Discussions feature for this community, and migrating the Threaded Forums across as well.
In case you are unaware of the feature, Discussions was introduced last year to help communities engage with users and fans. It lives in its own space on the wiki and allows users to interact with other members of the community. It is also mobile friendly and gives mobile users a chance to contribute and engage with the community, and possibly turn them into wiki editors as well. Discussions also links with our FANDOM Apps, which this community has and it allows app users to easily take part in Discussions as well. You can read more about Discussions here.
For more information on migrating forums to Discussions, you can check out this blog over on Community Central that explains everything in detail.
If you have some concerns, Discussions, and Forums can exist side-by-side in case you do not want to migrate just yet. However, eventually all Forums will be migrated over to Discussions and Forums will be sunsetted as a feature, so getting ahead of the curve is never a bad idea.
Feel free to have an open discussion with your community/admins about this, and I'm available for any questions you might have. Have a good one!
The message he 'sent' you was actually just an automatic response. When a new user first edits the wiki, Wikia writes a greeting message and sends it to the user on behalf of one of the wiki's admins, in order to welcome the user to the wiki. That's all that it was.
Your page was removed because it was on a fan-made topic, and on Halo Nation, we only document canonical content (i.e. the games, books, comics and films produced by 343i and Bungie), according to our Canon Policy. If you want to write fan-fiction, you should go to Halo Fanon, which is a wiki entirely dedicated to Halo fan-fiction.
So that you don't have to rewrite it all if you go over there, here is a full transcript of the deleted page:
