Nanolaminate is a material used by the Covenant for use as armor plating on their ships, and some ground vehicles.

Properties

Nanolaminate is an incredibly strong and heat resistant material which makes it perfect for use as armor plating. Due to its strength, it is very difficult for most UNSC weapons to penetrate. However, it is no match for the UNSC's Magnetic Accelerator Cannon with even the weakest MAC gun round piercing one of their hulls with ease.
