The Psion is a Human-type species, rumored to have "special powers". It was known to be featured in the canceled Untitled Halo MMO.[1]
Trivia
- It's possible that the Psions were just a special Human class.
- It is possible that the Psion could manipulate physics through technological enhancements, not unlike Biotics in the popular RPG Mass Effect.
- The original concept for Halo itself had mentioned humans with similar abilities manifesting early on, particularly in older advertisement and informational pieces for the game.
Deleted Material
Psion (Class) is part of the Deleted Material cut from the Halo games.
While developing the Halo games, Bungie, 343 Industries and Ensemble Studios have had to cut some content, such as vehicles, gameplay, and story elements, from the final products. Much of this content has been confirmed by videos and commentary in special edition DVDs, interviews with developers, and released concept art.
