Radiant Perception was a Sinaris-pattern heavy destroyer active in 2531, during the Battle of Arcadia in the Fleet of Glorious Interdiction.

Operational History

During the Battle of Arcadia in 2531, the Radiant Perception engaged the Halcyon-class light cruiser UNSC Roman Blue, commanded by then-Captain Terrence Hood. Emerging victorious in the engagement, the Radiant Perception proceeded to recover a navigation buoy that contained information relevant to the disappearance of the UNSC Spirit of Fire.

After the battle the Radiant Perception, after receiving at least a MAC round, crash-landed on a neighboring volcanic planet Laconia where it remained undisturbed by scavengers for 26 years due to rumors of Hunters onboard still being alive, swarming all the ship.

In fact, the number of Hunters aboard was of a single one. In 2557, the Perception was located by the Ace of Spades, which captain, Lucy Forge, was searching for the buoy, as his father was in the Spirit of Fire. They found another salvager ship parked beside the Covenant vessel. It was a war-freighter of Jul 'Mdama's Covenant, led by Gek 'Lhar. The human crew infiltrated aboard the Perception, killing the Hunter, who was wishing to die, and retrieving the buoy before escaping. It appears Gek 'Lhar's crew was retrieving weapons and ships for Jul, but it is unknown if they looted the Perception, as they departed immediately, pursuing the Ace of Spades.
