Skulls in Halo 2: Anniversary are gameplay modifiers, presumably hidden around the campaign as with in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Four skulls are available as pre-order bonuses for buying Halo: The Master Chief Collection from select retailers. Most of the skulls in Halo 2 will be retained.

Description: Amazon preorder bonus for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Effect: Enemies drop plasma grenades when melee attacked.

Description: GameStop preorder bonus for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Effect: Infinite ammunition and grenades, but the player will still have to reload.

Effect: Shortly after their deaths, Unggoy will explode as if they were plasma grenades.

Description: ShopTo preorder bonus for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Effect: During Co-Op play, the death of a player will grant the other players double damage for 60 seconds.

Trivia

• The Bonded Pair skull is only a timed exclusive to ShopTo, as it will become available to everyone on the 12th of December, 2014.
  • It is unknown if it is the same for the other preorder bonuses.
