Sundered Legion was an Insurrectionist organization that was based on the human colony world, Meridian.
History[]
It was the second pro-independence group in the colony's history, coming into existence at the beginning of the Insurrection in the 2490s. The Legion fought against the UNSC for five years before finally collapsing after a siege. Lower ranked members were offered amnesty as a show of good faith by the UNSC, though the groups leaders were put on trial in Earth's courts.[1]
During the Battle of Meridian (2548), the Legion was a myth, but it appears that some of its members managed to escape and return to the civilian life. In the village of Brume-sur-Mer, a secret cache contained a Legion's starship, who was found by a group of teens and became key to evacuate the village population against the Covenant occupant forces.[2]
