Personally, I think cycles to by hours and Units, when refering to time, to be minutes.

They would have very brief Ages or Eras (or some larger yet-unlisted increment) if that were so. Presuming the later chapters of Ghosts of Onyx go in chronological order, "Seventh Cycle, 49 Units" seems to be between 1520 hours and 1700 hours on November 3, 2552 "Seventh Cycle, 193 Units" would be between 1950 hours and 2040 hours on November 3, 2552

That's a difference of 144 units, and anywhere between 170-320 minutes. So that would mean that one unit could be equivalent to between 1min 8sec - 2min 13sec

"Seventh Cycle, 193 Units" would be between 1950 hours and 2040 hours on November 3, 2552 "Seventh Cycle, 265 Units" would be between 2130 hours and 2140 hours on November 3, 2552

a difference of 72 Units ... 50-110 minutes ... an equivalence to between 41sec - 1min 32sec.

If you take the common range between the two calculations, one unit could be anywhere from 68-92 seconds, meaning a cycle contains at least somewhere from 5hr/0min/20sec to 6hr/46min/20sec ... presuming the chronological order of chapters 26-39 of Ghosts of Onyx. I should hope there are a lot more units in a cycle. Else, what happened roughly 44 hours before that to reset the cycles?
