Kilo-23 wasn't shot down over high charity. I think it was shot down in the beginning of "The Covenant" though.

Wrong Picture[]
The Pelican shown in the Picture is not Kilo-023
Kilo-023 was the one which got rammed by its wingman and which brought the Master Chief on the Ground.
Watch the first cutscene of the Halo3 level "The Covernant" if you don't believe me. Oh and consider watching the first minutes into the mission.
Hocus, pilot of the pelican Kilo-023 says that she lost her wingman and her only hog, Miranda Keys then says that Hocus should get ouf of there. So how could the Pelican shown in the Pic be Kilo-023, if Miranda Keyes is in it? Also it has no Warthog attached.
