Hi, I'm new to the Halo franchise and I would like to hear from fans on which is the better developer. I'm thinking of just playing the Bungie Saga and stop. Or should I play the 343 ones too?

Chronologically, it goes from Bungie to 343i.
CEA Anniversary and H4 are worth it. Althought I would recommend CEA over CE because it has multiplayer, forge, firefight and a mechanism that allows you to swap graphics.
I think you should play all and then judge for yourself. Dont let other people determine what you like and dont like and especially dont join that stupid fanboy clash But in my opinion as someone who has played Halo since 2002(Not that it matters anyway) i think the whole series Halo 1-4, Halo Reach and Halo 3:ODST is worth your time or at least a fair try. And if your into the whole RTS genre i think you should get Halo:Wars(Its also part of the series but you may or may not like b/c its an RTS) as well and if you've got even more money to blow you can gamble on Halo:Spartan Assualt(I've only played the demo and im not that impressed and i think its definitely not essential but a nice side story especially if you get it for a cheap price). So if your buying the games you can buy Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary(Which is a remastered HD edition of Halo Combat Evolved/1 on Xbox 360), Halo 3, Halo 3:ODST, Halo:Reach, Halo 4 and Halo Wars on Xbox 360 while Halo 2 can only be bought on the original Xbox(Thats the first Xbox) and in all honesty if you cant find it in stores or the actual money or time buy it you can watch Halo 2 on youtube or something but i HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying it. Halo:Spartan Assualt can also be bought on XBox 360 but can also be bought on XBox One and theres a new Halo being made for Xbox One which is coming out soon but more on that later. And before you ask i think you should play them in release order. From Halo Combat Evolved-Halo 4.
And the VERY last thing. If you want to expand on any of the fiction and again this is completely optional but it will give you a better understanding of events and characters of the Halo universe and various stories within it. I recommend reading the books as well if you have time. But if you do i can select what i think are the most important. These would include Halo:Fall of Reach(Try to read before playing Halo:Combat Evolved),Halo:First Strike(Try to read before playing Halo 2), Halo:Ghost of Onyx(Read any time during/after your play through of Halo 3), The Kilo-Five trilogy(this includes Halo:Glasslands, which is a direct sequel to Ghost of Onyx, Halo:The Thursday War and Halo:Mortal Dictata) and finally The Forerunner trilogy(Includes Halo:Cryptum,Halo:Primordium and Halo:Silentium). The books Halo:Glasslands,Halo:Thursday War,Halo:Cryptum and Halo:Primordium should be read before playing Halo 4 though. Again this is optional and you may not have the time or money to do so. So whatever you choose to do is alright i guess.
Oh yeah and more thing, welcome to the world of Halo where truth is twisted, genocide is a plenty, epic battles for the fate of an entire galaxy are fought and men and women rise above and beyond the call to protect their race from the threat of extinction everyday in both battlefields in both big and small places from lush jungles,to ancient ruins and facilities to warn torn megacities(Sorry if that last part sounded a bit cheesy. My inner fanboy was leaking out a bit).
I hope this helps and its not a complete waste of time but half of it was just extra info if your really new and really want to get into it. But i'll understand if you dont have time to buy all the games or just not the reading type(Or would I?). I just hope this is useful
Despite the developers changing all the Halo games are in the same continuity. Â I would recommend starting with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, then Halo 2 & 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4 in that order. (ODST and Wars are sort of optional).
I would try to play them in chronological order, ie: Halo Wars Halo Reach, Halo CE Anniversary, Halo 2, Halo 3 ODST, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Though Wars is an RTS and the main triology is Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3, with ODST and Reach being released afterwards.Â
I would start off playing Halo: Combat Evolve first, Halo 2, and Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, and Halo: Reach are pretty much optional if you have high interest in them.Â
If on your spare time, there are books and an animated multi-tale movie that covers the Halo mythology, if again are you interested.
then H:SA. 'Cause a top-down shooter is RTS-Like for those who liked halo wars.
I think halo 4 was really bad the multiplayer was bad halo reach was(and still is) much better
To play the games in the Canon of the Franchise, you would play Wars, Reach, CEA, H2A, ODST, 3, Spartan Assault, 4, Spartan Oops, Spartan Strike, Guardians.
oh, and let's not forget Halo 5: Guardians when it drops later this month
Halo 4 had a decent multiplayer but the storyline is terribly made and makes no sense in some aspects.
