Story: Crystal and it's entire system have been destroyed by a massive Forerunner weapon. Meanwhile, dissension quickly rises in the ranks of the UNSC, and many believe that a mutiny is at hands. Did a human activate this Forerunner weapon? Who is this mysterious traitor? What is the point of this sudden coup?

NOTE: You may continue to use your characters from The Battle.
Bio: An ex-pilot in the Fleet of Glorious Interdiction, Sasuun was betrayed by nearly everyone he truly cared about. This includes his best friend and ex-co-pilot Uhzre, whom was recently killed. Sasuun now finds himself lost, with no trust, no value, and no honor
Affiliation: UNSC (Formerly Crystal Military Police)
Bio: Formerly the captain of the Ntesköe Military Police, he evacuated civilians when the city was destroyed by the Covenant. His city lost, he joined the UNSC Marine Corps with the rest of his men, and hopes to become an ODST after seeing first-hand their prowess on the battlefield.
(Character apparently taken by Agent Locke, in my absence.)
Weapons: BR85HBSRK(again, like the M7SK, designed for CQC.),M7SK, M6C/S
As the pelican flew away, locke started thinking. how had the covenant found it? ONI found it first, and locked it down. the answer was simple...THE UNSC HAD A TRAITOR. "Hartley, new job. we all get shore leave on earth. get to go to bravo-6 and file reports."
The group makes there way through the station, eventually entering the Facility. A high-ranking officer, maybe an Admiral, enters the chamber.
Crew Member: Officer on deck, Ten Hut!
Admiral Baker: At ease, gentlemen. (looking over at the new arrivals). Welcome to HIGHCOM. I'm sure your all weary from battle, so make your selves at home for a while. You'll only get an hour to debrief, after that you're all embarking on the UNSC Sword of Giants. Follow me.
The group enters another room, with a holo-table as the cenrterpiece.
Ensign Ulan: (Nodding) Admiral.
Admiral Baker: Ulan, activate the table please.
The table is turned on, showing a star map of muiltiple systems. Certain planets posses the title Location of Interest.
Admiral Baker: That artifact you found on Crystal, might have been the greatest discovery of the decade. This-
Admiral Baker: Quite. This Casket is believed to be only one of four. Your mission will be to find the other three. The marked planets are, according to ONI, possible locations.
Ensign Ulan: There are currnetly twenty-five search zones.
Admiral Baker: Yes. We figured that the people who would be best fit to find it, where the ones who saw it first hand.
A door opens.
Admiral Baker: As of now, ONI wants to know what you saw. You will be debriefed in that room (Pointing) there...Any Questions?
Hartley: I was assigned to the frigate UNSC Conqueror, commanded by Commander Wright. As soon as the Covenant started attacking Crystal, the Conqueror deployed ODSTs to the surface of the planet. Upon landing, we met Jameson Locke. And then...
Then we found the artifact, and this Elite (points at Sasuun). We tried to stop the artifact from firing. But, something called "Enforcer" appeared, and we fled. The artifact destroyed the entire system.
Sasuun: Indeed. My armour pererved it's image. I should be able to display it...here we go . I apologize if it is still hard to observe, sir. It apeared to be taking power from within the planet core. Perhaps there is a structure there, too.
Sean4333 wrote: Admiral Baker: We believe he is located on a derelict frigate, the UNSC Mist of Avalon. He is a secondary objective. Be selective, and do not engage unless absolutely necessary. Other questions? Good.
(Don't worry he'll come later ;) )
(this traitor was the story arc i meant. trust me, he WILL be central, sean. join me in chat later and i'll tell you who, when, what, and how.)
Locke: Admiral, there's a traitor runiing rampant inside highcom. I know you want to know about the artifact, but there's no time. he's the reason the covenant even KNEW about the casket. I need a team.
Corporal Garth Chyenka, Second Lieutenant Brian Hartley, and that elite. those three know the most about the artifact. also include Captain Jacob Wright. bringing the Destroyer hartley is on will give him an excuse. also, I need funds. not UNSC in-the-legit funds, 30 million cRs in bearers bonds.
(yeah, with a covie armory as well.) Taking the standard gear? we have match-grade and ONI-level gear and THATS what you do! here, take this.*hands Hartley an M90 Mk. 1* there. and PLEASE swap fo an SK version M7.
Captain Croft: Welcome to the bridge Bravo. I've read all of you're dossiers, so you need not introduce yourselves. Now, we have our mission laid out for us. But the problem is, picking where to start. The twenty-five search zones are numbered from closest to farthest. But close is dangerous. The Covenant Navy is just at our doorstep waiting to knock. They cannot know anything. The decision must be unanimous. Where should we start? Any where from one to twenty-five.
Captain Croft: Ah, Daego. Horrid place. The atmospehere has recently collapsed to muiltiple powerplants destroyed by the Covenant. Your brother, Mr. Hartley, would have had to be in one of the few Oxygen-rich areas to survive. I'll have you outfitted with gas-compressors and tanks. The entire planet must be searched. We will have four teams in the task force. Bravo 1 will search the Geftela continent, the "dirty zone". Bravo 1 must not remove their breathing apparatus. Bravo 2 will search the Northern polar cap. Bravo 3 will search the jungle Janwald area, one of the few oxygen environments left. Bravo 4 will take the South Ocean, specifically the mines. We must check under the surface, too. The rest of the areas will be divided among the other Task Forces. Mr. Hartley, I suggest you lead Bravo 3. Janwald is one of the few places your brother might be. Divide up the rest of the teams yourselves. We arrive at the planet in three hours, Dismissed
(Just using Locke temporarily since he isn't actually here right now)
Locke:Bravo! Over here.
The group files into a pelican. The pelican takes off.
Pilot(On Loadspeaker): (sarcasticlly) Good Evening, ladies an gentlemen. Welcome to Air Marine Non-stop service. Our first stop today is...The Northern Polar cap. Any members of Bravo Team 2 will debark at this station. Thank you.
(ALRIGHT. Team 2 get's off at First Stop. Team 2 can only have 2 or three people. There are FOUR teams. NINE people in Task force. 9/4=2.25. TWO people in each team. One of the teams get's three though.)

Sassun:Humans, in order to understand these terrors, we must consult the one place in which they are referenced; The book of tales. This text may have many clues to the origins and weaknesses of the Caskets. The text goes as so:
Sasuun: Unknown... But I believe that it states something about the Casket's purpose. If you remember "But when they found out, That life wasn't throughout, They did not know where to go.". So they were lost. And then they begin blaming each other for getting lost. The machine was built to kill whoever was at fault. In this case, their leader. Maybe the Casket was wrong, though. Maybe it just killed for the sake of killing. We may need more time to think about this.
(There is a hidden meaning, and this is not it. :P)

(well, don't tell us untill we REALLY can't guess.) Alright. remember "they built a device/for a terrible price/the life of their leader Ray'Ko" suggests to me that the caskets gain power from deaths.
