The UNSC Dunedin is classed as an auxiliary vessel within the UNSC Navy. Along with its sister ship the Template:UNSCship provided ground support to the survivors within the Onyx Shield world and also ferry equipement and personnel to begin studying the shield world and its abundant Forerunner assets.
