Wingnut Interactive is a video game development studio that was formed in 2006 from a partnership between Microsoft Game Studios and the director Peter Jackson. They will be working on what Peter Jackson calls "filmic games." The first project was to have been Halo: Chronicles, an Xbox 360 interactive storytelling game based in the Halo Universe created by Bungie Studios, but the game was canceled after the Halo film was put on indefinite hold, effectively ending Wingnut's involvement with the IP.
