The Z-520 Encounter-Mitigation System, more commonly known as the Splinter Turret, is a Promethean heavy weapon featured in Halo 5: Guardians.[2] Upon impact, its projectiles explode outwards into several smaller explosive projectiles, giving the weapon its colloquial name.[1] It was employed by Prometheans in conflicts after the Requiem Campaign. As support weapons, picking up the Splinter Turret would result in a lack of mobility.
Description[]
The turret, like the human equivalent features a shield on the barrel of the gun, albeit made of hardlight. The turret fires a single hardlight round, that explodes on impact and splinters into smaller explosions, making it an extremely lethal weapon.
